1. P. eckmanii
Height: 20 feet
Size of crown: 8 feet |
| Cultural requirements and other comments:
A rare species from the Dominican Republic, this palm
requires some serious patience to see it grown to
maturity. The trunk is swollen above its midpoint and is
waxy and white. The leaf crown is spherical and open and
quite beautiful. |

2. P. sargentii (Buccaneer Palm)
Height: 10 feet
Size of crown: 8 feet |
| Cultural requirements and other comments:
A very tough coastal palm, drought and salt tolerant and
resistant to pests. It is quite beautiful and only
limited to wider use by its extremely slow rate of
growth. The swollen trunk and open and attractive crown
make this a great specimen for a coastal garden. |
