| Cultural requirements and other comments:
This tightly clustering fan palm has attractive
intricately woven fibers with long needle-like spines
completely covering the trunk. The alleged use of the
needles with voodoo dolls has given rise to the common
name Zombie Palm. This palm is slow growing but suitable
for a zeriscape specimen as it is quite drought
tolerant. |
