1. C. humilis var. argentea (cerifera) (Mediterranean Fan Palm)
Height: slowly growing to 15 feet
Size of Crown: 12 feet |
| Cultural requirements and other comments: We grow a clumping
variety that has markedly sliver or blue leaves and can form a great screen in the landscape. This palm will tolerate the hot
dry winds of Kona and salty air. It is a slow starter but will grow faster at higher elevations. C. humilis tolerates dry soils
and needs good drainage when watered. Does not perform well in very wet areas. |
