Cultural requirements and other comments: This tall, solitary
palm from the Philippines has a slender, graceful appearance. It does not have a true crownshaft, and the pinnate leaves are
large with the new emerging leaves having a mauve or bronze color. This palm could be used for a canopy or in groups. The
elegant H. elata grows best with rich, organic matter and tolerates full sun from an early age. |
