1. . R. rivularis (Majesty Palm)
Height:
30 feet
Size of Crown: 8-15 feet
Cultural requirements and other comments: This palm, also known as the Majesty Palm, grows naturally near streams in lowland forests of Madagascar. It is commonly used as an interior plant due to its tolerance of shady conditions. It grows best in partial shade with high humidity and protection from salt and wind. R. rivularis can be a heavy feeder, so it is best to consistently apply fertilizers with micronutrients and plenty of organic matter—especially as a containerized specimen.
